With Thanksgiving around the corner, Pete and Dana are about to get married, and Christopher organizes a canned food drive at school but gets so engrossed in collecting the most cans that he forgets about helping the needy. Meanwhile, Sam tries to win a college soccer scholarship, and Emily feels left out when her best friend starts dating. All of these activities are temporarily forgotten when a fire breaks out in the tractor shed, and the family has to work together to rebuild their home.
