Getting Lucky tells the story of Lucky-a dog who is sent to Angel's Gate to die but instead finds a whole new way to live-and sixteen other animals at the hospice. Susan Marino started the animal hospice and rehabilitation center in her home more than a decade ago in the belief that even critically ill and physically challenged animals deserve to live out their days with dignity and respect.
