Description
Paris ballet dancer Ninette Dupond has three days to find new work before she will be thrown out of her apartment for not making the rent. On the eve of the third day, filled with despair, she return to her garret to find a thin, rangy, tabby-striped tomcat sitting on her windowsill. Just another stray, she thinks. But her opinion changes dramatically when the cat abruptly speaks to her, mind-to-mind. The cat proposes she leave France, go to England, impersonate Nina Tchereslavsky, a renowned Russian ballerina and work in a specific Blackpool music hall. Unbeknownst to her, the cat is an Elemental Spirit, sent to protect her by her long-lost father, an Elemental Master of Earth. She also doesn't know that the real Nina Tchereslavsky has been absorbed by an evil elemental spirit now bent on Ninette's destruction.
